Mission Prize and Details
In this challenge, Wirestock wants participants to capture the unique character and atmosphere of local barbershops from all over the world. We are looking for images showcasing the barbers at work, their tools, and their customers. The images should be high-quality, with well-edited and aesthetically composed compositions that tell a story.
The prize for first place is $1,000, second place is $250, and third place is $100, which will be added to the winners’ Wirestock balances. Furthermore, if the images pass the quality assurance review, they will be sent to various marketplaces.
Rules
- All photos must be taken specifically for this challenge.
- Only 5 submissions per participant are allowed. If more photos are posted, only the first 5 will be considered for this challenge
- Previously posted photos will not be considered.
- Participants must have permission from the barbershop owners and customers before submitting their photos.
- Images must have aesthetic compositions and authentic elements
- Images shouldn’t lack technical qualities, including focus, exposure, and color.
- Participants must include "Local barbershops" in the additional info field in order to be considered for the challenge
- The deadline for submitting the images is May 27th.
- Winners will be announced by the 02nd of June.
Examples of what we’d like to see
- A barber working on a customer’s hair, with the customer’s expression showing the satisfaction of getting a fresh haircut.
- A barber shop with a vintage aesthetic showcasing the history and tradition of the shop.
- Barbers from diverse ethnicities and cultures show the inclusivity of the shop.
- Barbershop interior featuring the trade tools and the barbers' skills at work.
- A barbershop from the outside showcasing the unique storefront and sign of the shop.
